Workshop
Cranio & Pleasure

Nica & David have been in dialogue for over 25 years (since David was Nica’s student) on facilitating, teaching, holding space for dance, movement, and body practices, separately and together.
Besides their shared practice of dance & choreography, they have individually been working with Biodynamic Craniosacral Bodywork and transgenerational creations (Nica) and artistic explorations of Boundaries, Desires, and Intimacy (David). Here, they bring together the sum of their experiences to ask, “what does it mean to be fully present with another person?”
We will approach the body through an anatomical lens that traces its origin back to embryology, using soft craniosacral touch, deliberate mobilizations along the fascia, membranes, and joint articulations, and attention to the breath and fluid dynamics within the body.
We will also explore boundary and consent exercises from this place of embodied awareness, noticing whether this somatic work affects how we perceive and articulate our own boundaries, and those of others. We will move very slowly, and the well-being of all participants will be centered at all times.
The workshop will offer a calm, precise, and finely tuned environment, in which structural clarity and pleasurable bodily awareness reinforce each other.
Welcoming participants of all backgrounds and experiences.
